Differential equations, nested forms and star products

Nested forms first arose explicitly in connection with Hardy-field solutions of algebraic differential equations. A modified treatment gives a slight generalization of existing results. A study of different measures of asymptotic growth suggests a possible alternative, of a more algebraic character, to the nested-form data structure. Finally we indicate one way in which existing results might be generalized to certain types of solutions of partial differential equations.
